Staff
A few employees of the Cross Foundation worth knowing by name are below:
Managerial Board
Dr Cross
Every inheritor of the Cross Foundation has been known by the title 'Dr Cross', starting with Dr Godfrey Cross and continuing down the generations to the current head of the Foundation, Dr Vivian Cross. Very little is known about Dr Vivian Cross, as the majority of her personnel file is heavily redacted. It is said, however, that those with the appropriate Authorisation can speak with her directly. More information on the Cross family can be found in the Foundation's Background.
Experimental Department
Dr D. Sullivan
Still on Cross Foundation personnel records as 'Experimental Analysis Analyst', though more commonly known as Y-879 - "Dr Sullivan". Communicates only in a glyph-like written language indecipherable to most other Cross Foundation staff.
Logistics Department
C. McIvan
Regional Logistics Incident Manager, though which region McIvan is assigned to seems to change with alarming frequency. McIvan seems as confused by this as anyone.
R&D Department
M. Matthews
R&D Innovation Specialist, always extremely eager to find new inspiration for equipment prototypes. Grumbles about “that Matthews person” interfering with incident response protocol (or, as it's more commonly referred to, “getting in the way”) are common to most departments.
Public Relations Department
S. Crow
Head of Public Relations, and the only Department Head who specifically demanded that their personnel file not be anonymised. This is widely believed to be an intimidation tactic; those who inconvenience or thwart the efforts of Crow's department do so at their own risk.
V. Torrence
PR LoC Administrator, responsible for the smooth operation of activities at Locations of Concern. Known even outside the Public Relations Department for exceptional work responding to several coordinated attempts in the 1980s to infiltrate the Victory Line (see XX-12 - "Green Mist" for more information on this LoC.
Extradimensional Diplomacy Department
Dr T. McCarthy
Extradimensional Mediation Coordinator, often seen in the field assisting incident response teams in attempting Conference with XX-class Anomalies. Said to be extremely cheerful in times of peace, and utterly uncompromising in times of crisis.
Human Resources Department
J. Smith
HR Offboarding Supervisor, ideally never encountered.
Miscellaneous
Dr G. Miller
Due to unexplained phenomena that have yet to be effectively defined into a single categorisable anomaly for the Archive, the Cross Foundation is home to a number of instances of the same member of staff: one Dr G. Miller. This was first noticed when a member of staff reported that Dr George Miller in the Extradimensional Research Division and Dr George Miller in the Undisclosed Location Resource Group both bore striking similarities, and that both Georges Miller seemed remarkably similar to a Dr Georgina Miller who had recently returned from a Subterranean Exploratory Trip to Southwest Italy. After this was noticed, staff became increasingly aware that more and more Dr G. Millers were showing up as on the staff despite employee records showing precisely one Dr G. Miller.
After a brief quarantine period during which a number of Drs Miller were held under suspicion of malicious intent, Dr George Miller from Extradimensional Research proposed the theory that all the Millers were in fact all the same Dr G. Miller but either from different “parallel dimensions” or the result of some as yet unrealised cloning experiment. Given that all reported earnestly that they were the one and only Dr G. Miller, this was a widely accepted theory and all were released to work for the Cross Foundation under close supervision.
