XX-21 - "Yellow Tape"

For the longest period of time, XX-21 was classified incorrectly as Z-155: deemed a relatively harmless seemingly infinite roll of yellow tape that anomalous things were disinclined to cross over. It was considered so until [DATE] when [FORMER STAFF MEMBER], [FORMER STAFF MEMBER], and [FORMER STAFF MEMBER] thought it would be “funny” to use Z-155 to tape up [STAFF MEMBER ON PERMANENT LEAVE] as a “practical joke”. The effect was far from funny as [STAFF MEMBER ON PERMANENT LEAVE] was left screaming in agony for hours upon end as [PRONOUN] body slowly tried to respond to a series of contradictory senses of physics until it eventually contorted itself into a two-dimensional state.

Following this incident, the danger posed by Z-155 was re-examined and it was discovered that the supposedly infinite roll of yellow tape had very tiny amounts of movement. Under a microscope, researchers realised that Z-155 was in fact home to an entire universe of life that simply only existed in two dimensions.

A series of false starts later in which fragments of the tape became existentially devastated by the intrusion of beings from the third dimension, contact was eventually made with Z-155's two-dimensional counterpart to the Cross Foundation and an accord was struck: the Foundation would refrain from further extradimensional intrusions into their world and in exchange the Yellow Tape Counterparts would follow Foundation instruction to direct their universe's anomaly-binding powers toward the Foundation's goals.

This peace has been in place now since [DATE] and the Foundation has kept true to its word, elevating the status of Z-155 to XX-Category, dubbing it XX-21 and ensuring only those with Mediation privileges can make contact with the two-dimensional world. In exchange, the two-dimensional “Foundation” designates large amounts of their universe for use by the Foundation as hazard tape to assist with containment.

• XX-21 is thus far incapable of creating Incursions or Excursions into our world, it is unlikely to be able to.
• Indeed, XX-21 more perceives our interactions with it as Incursions into its world.
• XX-21 is a body of individuals who operate in a similar manner to the Foundation but have very different comprehensions and priorities owing to a lack of a third spatial dimension.
• XX-21's ability to bind anomalies has yet to be fully realised into a third dimension but it is possible the mathematics can be expanded. The exact information though is a closely guarded secret by XX-21 and they have not responded well to attempts to retrieve it, referring to it as “their bargaining chip”.
